Backup Power Solutions is based in the beautiful village of Elora, Ontario in Wellington County. We love small town and rural living and know that power outages can happen year-round. After experiencing many power outages at all times of the year in our own home, we started Backup Power Solutions to give families and small businesses across southern Ontario peace of mind in the event of a power outage. We have a wide range of power solutions to meet your needs including Automatic, Manual and Portable Backup Power Solutions.

Gary Acheson, Owner

Gary Acheson started his working life as a technician in the aviation industry and went on to obtain a BEng. in Electrical & Electronic Eng. He is a CEng (UK) and has over 25 years’ experience in the service and manufacturing sectors. His experience includes first and second line maintenance, training and extensive engineering and program management in the installation and commissioning of backup power and other safety related equipment. Gary is a proud husband and father and when he is not installing backup power solutions, he loves moving fast on his snowmobile in the winter and road bike in the summer.
